Kafe Betawi, a small restaurant located in Karama Center Dubai, if you are indonesian people and miss home, i recommend Kafe Betawi as one of Indonesia restaurants in UAE, this place is awesome, of course many indonesian people there, a full menu and all the favorites and some crazy stuff you would not think you could get here in UAE like mpek mpek, sop rawon, gado-gado, sop buntut, ayam bakar, nasi padang, semur jengkol haha, teh botol sosro !!
After taking long long journey to find where Kafe Betawi located – finnaly we went dinner at Kafe Betawi, Without exception, i order my favorite food what they use to called it Pempek, Mpek Mpek, Empek-Empek or whatever it is, it’s one of delicacy foods from Palembang.
The fried mpek-mpek which is made from fish and sago, chicken egg, with dark rich sauce called cuka, mixed with noodle and small cubic cucumber,,,oh God the taste its still like mpek mpek, it’s still the same since 9 months ago !! haha
Served with Kerupuk Rengginang, peyek and Es Teler with combination fruit coctail, avocado, cendol and other fruits mixed with coconut milk, sweetended condensed milk, can you imagine that ? you have no idea what the taste its like, haha.
